In our hogar

in Jalisco….

Our widowed mom was cooking in the kitchen for a family of 17 as we all worked on the farm and house to make a living. Looking for something more than the simple life on our farm, many of us left to work towards something great.

I first settled in Chicago.

My first success there was meeting my wife and having a family.

I was then determined to do better than factory work, and began searching for an opportunity to open a restaurant.

We made our way to Redding

We have served many customers for nearly 15 years, and I feel like I have known them my whole life. We want to thank them now for their continuous support and love. It has been a great honor and privilege to serve the community of Redding a small piece of my home, and hope to continue to grow the Gordo Familia members one stomach at a time.
